NOTE: ONLY SWEDISH AUDIO, NO ENGLISH SUBTITLES. Nice Swedish pseudo documentary about a Swedish expedition that in 1954 go out to catch a huge snake in South America. The burdensome journey goes by truck, mules, horses and canoe through the Andean jungle. The expedition buys a young monkey in exchange for a knife, face sloths, electric eels and curious Indians.

NOTE: ONLY SWEDISH AUDIO, NO ENGLISH SUBTITLES. In the follow-up to the mondo-success Anaconda explorer Rolf Blomberg travels into the Brazilian jungle in search of the terrifying xavante indians. The Brazil-expedition starts in the port of Belém in the Amazon River estuary and continues inland. In the ghost town Manaus, in the middle of the jungle, they visit the strange Opera House (whose creation is described in Werner Herzog’s Fitzcarraldo). On the island Bananal in Rio Araguaya they meet the indian tribe carajá and experience their daily lives with bow hunting, fishing and festive dance rites.
