Fear Has a Thousand Eyes is one of Sweden's very few horror movies, and definitely the only Swedish erotic horror movie. Swedish actress Anita Sanders worked mainly in Italian cinema, where she acted for both Pasolini and Fellini. The movie's working title, Henbane in My Ear, is a Shakespeare quote from Twelfth Night. It alludes to the drugs that were supposed to induce sexual hallucinations with women who were said to be witches in old times.
