Once upon a time in lovely Hollywood, California....
I came very very close to playing the boyfriend of that chick who plays "Bridget Jones" in that movie where her mom has cancer and kills herself. Which is exactly what I felt like doing when I found out I didn’t score the part. I asked my agent who did and she said “Nicky Katt”. “Nicky Katt?” I asked. “Who the hell is Nicky Katt?!” She had no idea. I bet you don’t either. But I bet you’ve seen him. He’s worked with Oliver Stone, Steven Soderbergh, Richard Rodriguez, Christopher Nolan, Richard Linklater and David E. Kelly. Still not ringing any bells? Then check him out in “Snow Angels”.
He totally kicks ass as a philandering male nurse who’s having an affair with the girl who you’re used to seeing in those werewolf vs. vampire “Underworld” movies. Turns out she can actually act. Don’t believe me? Watch her in the scenes she has with her alcoholic “ex” played by the incredibly entertaining and always interesting Sam Rockwell ("Galaxy Quest", "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind") who once again turns in an amazing performance in this incredibly tragic yet somehow uplifting movie that’s directed by the genius dude who made “All the Real Girls” and “The Pineapple Express”.
See this movie and forever know Nicky Katt.
