Son Of Rambow Story
Will är en blyg skolpojke som växer upp i en strängt religiös omgivning. Moderna företeelser som tv och film är förbjudna. En dag visar Lee Carter, skolans värsting, honom en dålig videoinspelning av den första filmen om Rambo varpå hans livliga fantasi vaknar till liv. Han dras med i Lees nya filmprojekt, en egen version av"First Blood". De två pojkarna ger sig i smyg ut i skogen för att filma och deras hemlighetsmakeri och oskuldsfulla ambitioner leder snart till en stark vänskap. Både vänskapen och filmen kommer dock snart att sättas på prov.
Son of Rambow will have you choking from laughter one minute and almost sobbing while exclaiming how beautiful a friendship can be the next.
The movie is set in a small English town in the early eighties, where the lonely and somewhat strange Will is involuntarely involved in a film project together with the school's rascal. Will, who has a highly peculiar and vivid imagination is entirely devoured by the film, which totally clashes with family's deeply religious values.
There is a lot of moral to this movie without becoming too corny. Soon of Rambow is a beautiful comedy/drama and if you haven't seen it already I strongly recommend you do!
